Contact and communication from the initial... read more enquiry through to booking and during our 3 weeks trip was exceptional. Nothing was too much bother for this company. We changed our plans during the trip to get a helicopter back from Gorak Shep which was organised by our fabulous guide Prokash and Ganja. Additional days in a hotel in Pokhara were also booked for us. We were met at the airport and dropped off by Ganja and his Balaram on different occasions, it felt like a very personal service. Our guide Prokash was amazing, he speaks excellent English and has a very good sense of humour. Prokash was always courteous and attentive to our needs, he was very very good company and took some fantastic photos for me. We were very lucky to have him as our guide. We missed him once we completed our trek and left to continue our holiday in Pokhara. We also had the pleasure of meeting Prokashs's brother Arrun another fantastic guide and a really lovely person. Both Prokash and Arrun are exceptional guides and if you are booking with Nepal Hiking Team make sure to ask for them.
We booked the Luxury Everest Base camp trek and added days in Pokhara and a 3 day safari in Chitwan. We felt we were able to gain a thorough understanding of the Nepalese culture and way of life. It was a wonderful and challenging experience. It hasn't actually sunk in yet that we have been to Everest Base Camp!!
My initial concerns about using a treking company based in Nepal were completely unfounded. When we return to Nepal we will have no hesitation in booking with NHT again and specifically ask for Prokash to be our guide. I am already considering the Annapurna trek.
Overall this was an outstanding and amazing experience. I must also add that our porter Kisman was also brilliant. Although he spoke very little English he always said good morning, he was always happy and smiling. I was extremely grateful to him for carrying our trekking bags.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this company and I cannot praise them highly enough. Everything about this trip was fantastic.

Delighted I did as it turned out to be the trip of a lifetime. We got it all really; the madness of the city, the paradise of the mountains, the exciting flight to Lukla, hot sun, deep snow, breathtaking views, Sherpa culture, Yaks, homebrew, monks, monasteries, peaks & pubs....hard to beat!
Guide & porter were great. Ram our guide seemed to know everyone along the way and was a good laugh to be with. We watched Hari out porter carrying half his bodyweight out of the tea-house every morning but he kept smiling which helped with the guilty feeling!
There is some hardship involved with the altitude & facilities available but that's all part of the experience.
Have to also mention that the aftercare we received from Glorious was great...we weren't really expecting any. They organized everything we needed afterwards including COVID tests and in a place like Kathmandu any help you can get is worth taking!
All in all...brilliant!

I strongly recommend you use Nepal hiking team to help plan your trip so you can spend more time enjoying the hike.

He has been a guide for well over a decade and knows the area like the back of his hand. From our interactions in different lodges each night with other trekkers I'm sure you would find it hard to find a more experienced guide. Gokul not only helped guide us, but also took great care when we developed some altitude sickness. It would be our pleasure to have him as our guide for next time.

Also, we would like to thank Ganga for his great help organising the trip. All went incredibly smoothly, even when we needed to cut the end a bit short.

As for the hike for our 5 days expedition in the mountain, do expect really cold weather in December as there are no heaters in the room. Temperature ranges from 0 to 10 degree Celsius in the day time and -5 to 0 degree Celsius in the night time (bearable with sleeping bag and blankets provided).

The guide (Bishma) and porter (Sabin) services provided is good where they tend to your every needs.
